Lifted lashes without the lash curler? Look no further! I’ve got you! Let’s talk all things lash lifting: what it is, whether or not you’re a good candidate for the service, how to prepare for this service, and most importantly, how to take care of your lashes after the service.
What it is:
The service includes a three-step process and can be followed with eyelash tinting. The steps include a relaxing solution, a neutralizing solution, and a moisturizing serum. I’ll begin the service by cleansing your lashes, and applying under-eye pads to hold down your bottom lashes. I’ll then glue a rod to your eyelid and instruct you to not open your eyes for the duration of the service. Once I’ve got all the prep out of the way, I’ll begin on the three step lifting system. The first step, the relaxing solution, breaks down the bonds in the eyelashes. This is applied to your lashes for about 5-7 minutes. The second step, the neutralizing solution, is designed to lift the pH level in your eyelashes in order to raise the cuticle scales in the hair, ultimately perming your lashes around the rod creating that lifted look. This solution is left on your lashes for about 5-7 minutes, as well. In-between steps two and three, I will artist will tint your eyelashes, if desired. The third step is the moisturizing serum which will release your lashes from the rod revealing your new and improved eyelashes. This is applied to your lashes and must remain on your lashes for at least 24 hours which means you can not get your lashes wet for at least one day after getting a lash lift. This service lasts up to 10 weeks with proper aftercare.
Are you a good candidate for this service?
Clients with long, straight or light eyelashes, as well as clients that are willing to invest in and use aftercare are best suited for a service like this.
How to prepare for the service:
On the day of your lash lift, wear little, to no makeup. I will cleanse your lashes prior to beginning the service, but to make my job easier, please show up without mascara.
In order to achieve long-lasting results, it’s important to hydrate your lashes, which will ensure that they’ll be strong and healthy until your next lifting service. Clients that get this service done are highly encouraged to invest in aftercare offered at the studio. Some products that I recommend are Brow and Lash Toxx, Castor Oil, & Babe Lash. You’re going to use your aftercare products both morning and night, brushing into your lashes in an upward motion.
I hope I helped answer any of your questions & I can’t wait to see you at your next appointment.
