I know you’re so excited to look like you just got back from your Australian vacation, but first let’s make sure you know how to properly take care of your tan.
While your spray tan is processing you’re going to want to wear dark, loose-fitting clothing.
Make sure not to get wet until the recommended time has elapsed, that means no sappy rom-coms, kisses from your pup, or dancing in the rain. During the initial rise don’t use any soap, just hop into a shower with warm water, for about 2-3 minutes or until the water runs clear. After your shower, pat dry with a dark-colored towel. If any tan gets on your sheets, towels or clothing simply throw them in the wash and the bronzing solution will come right out.
Shower 2-3 hours after application for the express solution
Shower 6-8 hours after application for the regular solution.
Avoid anything that will exfoliate your skin, as it will exfoliate off your spray tan. This includes: shaving, waxing, body scrubs, loofahs, washcloths, body oils, skincare with active ingredients, retinol, Retin-A, oils or alcohol, adhesives or bandaids, and makeup remover.
24 hours after your spray-tan application you may begin moisturizing after each shower. Keeping your skin nice and hydrated will lengthen the life of your tan.
About 5-7 days after the initial tanning session you may notice a bit of spotting where your tan is beginning to fade. At this point, you’re going to want to gently exfoliate your skin daily to help the tan fade smoothly.
I hope this helps answer any questions you may have & I will see you at your next spray tan!
Xoxo, Adrienne
